Make Music from Your Wbesite
![]() There is a condition called synesthesia in which the senses are short-circuited and rearranged: people can see sounds, taste textures, and hear what can only be seen. Certain numbers are perceived as inherently colored. It is difficult to imagine what that world must be like. But now this website gives you a small glimpse: type the address of any website intothe address bar and the program will convert the coding and text of the website into music. Every website sounds different. You can try it yourself here: |

Too Much of A Good Thing
boboimage
Over a thousand links, densley packed into several colums, plus a bad color scheme. http://www.teacherxpress.com/. This site was featured on Websitesthatsuck.com as one of the worst websites of the decade.

Dancing Glitter Graphics
![]() Judging from its URL, http://www.americanbeautybordercollies.com/ seems to have something to do with American border collies. But you wouldn't know it by looking at the site because it is overloaded with incongruous images ranging from giant glittery easter bunnies (it was April when I visited it, so I suppose the site had been updated for Easter) and a band made up of banjo playing ex-presidents incuding Nixon, Abe Lincoln, the Bushes, as well as glitter cactuses, animated gifs, and lots and lots of weird graphics. Its a beautiful mess of weirdness. Enjoy! |
Weird News and Facts
![]() www.havenworks.com bills itself as a haven for news and information, and the site truly does have an amazing number of articles and links to subcategories on a number of useful subjects. What earns this site a coveted spot on the Weird Websites Directory is the fact that all of it is packed into a super-dense concentrate like the core of a dead star: every inch of this website is overflowing with links, colums of text, graphics, and garish colors that leave the senses stupefied. We recommend sunglasses when viewing this site. At least the webmaster has a sense of humor about it all. At the bottom of the very long page, the website announces that "HavenWorks.com has been an Aesthetically Challenged News Website Since 1998" and then goes on to quote from various reviews including a review (in Spanish) "El peor sitio web del universo" (the worst website in the universe) and "made me cry out in horror" says Crawford Kilian. |
